Sr Legal Counsel

JOB BRIEF:\nWe are looking for a Legal Associate to handle US and India legal processes and add value to and be \nthe legal backbone of our business. You will ensure that company always operates within the law, \noffer counsel on legal issues, create an effective guardian of the organization and facilitate business \nstrategies development. The successful candidate will be able to ensure legal compliance and limit \nrisk exposure.\nRESPONSIBILTIES:\n\u2022 Provide expert and strategic legal advice tomanagement\n\u2022 Set internal governance policies and manage the impact of external factors\n\u2022 Evaluate and weigh multiple inputs and impacts of any decision or course of action\n\u2022 Anticipate issues and estimate risksstrategically\n\u2022 Identify proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate risks\n\u2022 Base your decision\-making process on ethics and integrity\n\u2022 Create associations of trust and respect with key stakeholders\n\u2022 Representation of Corporate Entity on legal formulations of policy planning and enforcement\n\u2022 Perform legal research, compliance, due diligence related work\n\u2022 Reviewing, and drafting a variety of agreements \- mark up and spotting inconsistencies (MSA, \nNDA, employment agreements, vendor agreements, etc.)\n\u2022 Providing information and maintaining contract records and contract repository\n\u2022 Helping various companies preparing and finalizing their Employee Stock Option Plans Policy \n(ESOP Policy) and staying updated with the latest amendments\n\u2022 Attract, develop, direct, motivate and drive performance fromteam\n\u2022 Draft agreements that minimize risks and maximize legalrights\n\u2022 Meet legal objectives\n\u2022 Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and relatedareas\n\u2022 Keep abreast of legislative change

Requirements<\/h3>

QUALIFICATION: \-\n1. Education and Experience \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in law (BA LL. B/ LL.B.) or J.D. degree from US \n\u2022 Master\u2019s in business law is preferable and will be considered an asset to EVC.\n2. Work Experience \n\u2022 Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience at law firm or as in\-house counsel and/or in legal \noutsourcing\n3. Work Requirement \n\u2022 Travel may be required for business purpose \n\u2022 Fluency in English with strong oral and written communication skills.\n4. Skills and Knowledge \n\u2022 Proven general counseling experience in business environment\n\u2022 Overall broad legal knowledge and experience in corporate law, litigation, labor laws, etc.\n\u2022 Ability to recommend high quality and timely advice for risk mitigation by efficiently analyzing \nbusiness and legal implications\n\u2022 Competent understanding of relevant company policies and exercises excellent judgment to apply \ncompany policy and procedure in risk mitigation\n\u2022 Research and drafting\n\u2022 Strong time management, prioritization, organizational, and analytical skills\n\u2022 Able to work with internal and external teams, and understands delivery requirements\n\u2022 Extensive knowledge of Corporate Legal Governance Framework\n\u2022 Knowledge and experience in managing regulatory compliances with local, state, and federal laws\n\u2022 Ability to work under pressure, with exposure to senior leadership\n\u2022 Well\-versed in business and finance operation\n\u2022 High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas\n\u2022 Effectively manage priorities and stakeholder expectations\n\u2022 First class interpersonal and communication skills\n\u2022 Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks and to see around the corne
