Sr. Manager, Online Channel Development and Customer Activation

What You'll Do


1. Online Channel Strategy & Business Planning – 30%
Develop and execute end-to-end online channel strategies across major platforms (e.g., JD, Tmall, Tuhu); Define annual business plans, including GMV targets, assortment, pricing, and growth roadmap; Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) with key platforms to drive sustainable growth; Monitor platform dynamics, traffic rules, and competitive landscape to continuously optimize strategy.
2. Channel Growth & Performance Management – 30%
Own and drive core KPIs, including GMV, revenue, traffic, conversion, and profitability; Plan and execute key e-commerce campaigns (e.g., 618, Double 11)
Optimize assortment, pricing, and promotion mechanisms to maximize ROI; Identify growth opportunities through data analysis and drive actions to close performance gaps
3. Platform & Key Account Management – 20%
Build and manage strategic relationships with key e-commerce platforms (e.g., JD, Tmall, Tuhu); Lead negotiations on traffic resources, campaign participation, and visibility; Partner with platform category teams to improve search ranking, exposure, and share of shelf; Develop long-term partnerships to drive mutual growth and business success.
4. Digital Marketing & Consumer Operations – 10%
Collaborate with marketing teams on integrated digital campaigns to drive traffic and conversion; Leverage platform tools (e.g., paid media, live streaming, CRM) to enhance engagement and retention; Monitor and optimize media efficiency and customer acquisition cost (CAC); Support consumer journey and lifecycle management initiatives
5. Data Analytics & Operational Excellence – 10%
Track and analyze performance using dashboards and e-commerce analytics tools; Generate insights to support decision-making on assortment, pricing, and campaigns; Work with supply chain and operations teams to ensure inventory availability and fulfillment efficiency; Continuously improve execution processes and operational effectiveness

What you will bring

Strong understanding of the China e-commerce ecosystem, including major platforms (e.g., JD, Tmall) and their operating models
Solid commercial acumen, with experience in managing GMV, pricing, promotions, and profitability
Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills, able to translate data into actionable business insights
Hands-on experience in e-commerce operations, including campaign execution, assortment planning, and online merchandising
Proven key account management and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strategic platform partnerships
Good knowledge of digital marketing and consumer operations, including traffic acquisition and retention
Strong cross-functional collaboration and execution capability in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and influencing skills in a matrix organization, Fluent in English and Chinese.

What We're Looking For

10+ years of experience in e-commerce, channel development, or sales management, preferably in consumer-related industries. Proven track record of managing key online platforms (e.g., JD, Tmall) and delivering business growth (GMV, revenue, profitability). Solid experience in e-commerce operations, including campaign management, assortment planning, and pricing strategy. Strong exposure to key account management and commercial negotiations with platform partners. Data-driven business management capability, with experience in performance tracking and insights-driven decision-making. Experience working in a cross-functional, matrix organization with strong execution focus.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or related field, Preferred MBA or equivalent advanced degree, Certifications in Digital Marketing, E-commerce, or Data Analytics
