We're looking for a Sr Materials Manager.
Overview:
As a Sr Materials Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process and ensuring that the company acquires quality goods and services at competitive prices. You will manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to benefit the company. Additionally, you will work closely with different departments to forecast purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management:
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality or delivery.
Purchasing Operations:
Manage the purchasing team and oversee the purchasing process from requisition through receipt.
Review and approve purchase orders and contracts.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations regarding purchasing.
Collaboration:
Work with various departments to assess their purchasing needs.
Collaborate with finance to ensure budget compliance and cost control.
Prepare reports on purchasing activities and provide insights to management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in purchasing software and ERP systems.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
