Sr. PQA Engineer

The Team and Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Quality Engineer to lead the quality assurance of enterprise and network NPIs in the video conferencing space. You will drive the creation and execution of a quality test plan that focuses on the customer and installer experience, leveraging your experience to ensure test coverage for mass deployment, various configurations, and user ease-of-use.
You will participate in the full product lifecycle as an individual contributor, from contributing to early design considerations, through reliability testing, and production line exit testing in order to deliver high-quality products that integrate advanced audio, video, computer vision, and collaboration with partners (like Zoom and Teams).
This role requires both strong technical expertise as well as a customer-focused mindset. The ideal candidate has enterprise hardware QA experience and is familiar with both hardware and software quality standards.

- Lead the hardware quality efforts on new product development projects
- Evaluate new product development project requirements in order to define and develop test plans that will represent the customer’s and installer’s needs
- Work closely with other functions early in the design process to ensure the quality test plan requirements are considered and solutions implemented
- Evaluate new products and product use cases to identify potential failure modes
- Collaborate with JDMs on DVT plans, sample requirements, and testing procedures
- Manage the test plan in Jira/Zephyr including bug/issue generation and tracking
- Collaborate with other engineering functions to ensure proper test coverage, bug triaging, and issue resolution
- Manage 3rd party certification processes for features such as Bluetooth, HDMI, Wifi, and USB
- Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, risks, and tradeoffs, ensuring that critical issues are escalated and resolved in a timely manner.
- Work on multiple simultaneous projects with team members across various time zones
Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:
- 5+ years of experience in product quality assurance
- Proven track record of managing quality requirements in the development of high volume electronics products
- Deep understanding of reliability testing, its role in the product development process, and how it reflects the entire product life cycle
- Strong technical background in product development
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently to various levels, such as with factories, colleagues, and management
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- Good command of written & spoken English & Chinese, with proficiency in Mandarin
- Willing to travel
- Willing to work with teams across multiple time zones including Asia, Americas, and Europe.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of video conferencing tools and collaboration platforms (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams) and their certification requirements and processes.
- Exposure in multi-cultural international company
- Experience with Android-based devices, video/audio systems, and computer vision technologies.
- Experience with enterprise level products
