Sr. Product Cybersecurity Architect for Advanced Hearing Aid Platforms

In the role of Senior Product Cybersecurity Architect in GN Hearing’s CTO organization within R&D, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer by shaping the cybersecurity architecture behind advanced hearing aid platforms. You will combine architectural leadership, technical depth, and practical product security work to help ensure that cybersecurity is built into our products from the earliest design decisions to long-term platform direction.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced product cybersecurity professional with experience in embedded and connected products who wants to help build secure, future-ready technologies that support people in their everyday lives.

The Team you will be part of:

You will join a team of experienced System Architects and System Engineers working across GN Hearing’s product platforms and development organization. The team plays a central role in shaping robust, scalable, and future-ready platform solutions in close collaboration with specialists across systems engineering, software, electronics, hardware, and product development.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

  • Define and evolve the cybersecurity architecture for advanced hearing aid platforms

  • Drive threat modeling, attack surface analysis, risk assessment, and mitigation activities early in the product development lifecycle

  • Specify and review security requirements, architectures, and technical solutions across embedded systems, software, and hardware

  • Contribute directly to security design decisions, including topics such as secure communication, authentication, key management, and cryptographic controls

  • Evaluate product security risks, architecture trade-offs, and regulatory expectations, and translate them into pragmatic technical direction

  • Support security testing, technical assessments, and root cause analysis related to product security issues

  • Track emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and relevant technology developments to improve the security posture of our platforms

  • Contribute to the development of security principles, standards, and engineering practices across the organization

  • Mentor colleagues and help improve product cybersecurity capabilities in the wider R&D environment

To perform well in the role, we imagine that you:

  • Have a master’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, or a related field

  • Have solid experience from product cybersecurity, within embedded and connected products rather than infrastructure security

  • Have extensive background in security architecture across software and hardware domains

  • Understand cybersecurity standards, risk management practices, and regulatory requirements, within medical devices or similarly regulated products

  • Bring knowledge of cryptographic systems and algorithms, with post-quantum cryptography

  • Have effective communication skills to build trust build trust across software, hardware, systems engineering, product development, and leadership.

  • Thrive in an environment where open dialogue, healthy discussion, and high professional integrity are valued.

  • Stand firmly on your knowledge while remaining curious, and open to other perspectives.

  • See cybersecurity as an enabling discipline that helps teams make better product decisions, and bring a pragmatic approach that balances risk, regulatory requirements, architecture, and product development.

  • Are proficient in English, both spoken and written
