Sr Product Designer
Roles and responsibilities:
- Create outstanding and intuitive user interfaces for a diverse global audience through seamless cross-product journeys, engaging learning experiences, and delightful interactions that align with our mission.
- Manage end-to-end feature design with the ability to translate technical capabilities into practical product features.
- Work with Product and Engineering partners to represent the design team, facilitate design discussions, and give concise feedback on planning and product direction.
- Partner with the Engineering team to provide a high-quality implementation of delightful product experiences.
- Have opportunities to present your work to executive leadership.
- You'll report to the Product Design Lead .
- You have experience working with Design Systems.
- Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
- Experience using tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and InVision.
- Experience working in an agile/scrum development process.
- Be open to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it.
Nice to have:
- Experience working in the Fintech industry.
- Can play around with 3D modeling using Blender or any other application
Qualifications:
- Experienced with 5+ years of professional career experience as a UX/UI or product designer. You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied arts, or any relevant degree.
- A Team player who can design quality and cohesion across your area of expertise, while engaging with other designers.
- Collaborative, sharing work early and often and encouraging peers to look for constructive feedback from their manager, partners, teams, and the Product Design team.
- A Systems Thinker that advocates for holistic and connected user experiences.
- A Problem Solver who has a tuned thought process that yields creative solutions to big challenges across end-to-end learning journeys.
- A compelling storyteller who can articulate new concepts clearly through verbal, written, and visual communication. You can communicate your ideas effectively through journey maps, wireframes, user flows, and prototypes.
- Investigative and inquisitive about product goals from both a company's and user's perspective, promoting a learning culture both within the Product Design team.
- Creative in innovating to produce designs and patterns that are cohesive with the rest of valU products.
- Motivated and always expanding your skills by looking for new tools and techniques.
