Sr Product Manager
At F5, we strive to bring a better digital world to life. Our teams empower organizations across the globe to create, secure, and run applications that enhance how we experience our evolving digital world. We are passionate about cybersecurity, from protecting consumers from fraud to enabling companies to focus on innovation.
Everything we do centers around people. That means we obsess over how to make the lives of our customers, and their customers, better. And it means we prioritize a diverse F5 community where each individual can thrive.
About the Role
AI is reshaping how enterprises build and operate software, and with that comes an entirely new attack surface. F5 is at the forefront of securing AI applications and infrastructure, and we're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own and drive the AI Guardrails product area — one of the most strategically critical spaces in our AI security platform.
This isn't a generalist PM role. You'll be working at the intersection of AI security, agentic systems, and real-world enterprise deployments, navigating bespoke on-prem architectures, managing a rich ecosystem of integrations and partnerships, and making sure customers can adopt what we build.
If you've shipped security or infrastructure products, understand how enterprises deploy software in the real world (not just in the cloud), and get energized by moving fast in a space that's evolving daily — we want to talk to you.
What You'll Own
Product Roadmap & Strategy
Own the roadmap for AI Guardrails and agent security, with potential scope expansion as the platform grows and evolves.
Define features, scope requirements, and prioritize product improvements, balancing customer needs, technical constraints, business objectives, and product usability.
Integrations & Partnerships
Lead product management for our integrations ecosystem — from coding assistants to enterprise AI platforms.
Prioritize integrations based on market demand, business value, and technical feasibility, and actively manage the stakeholders behind each one.
When new integrations come in (e.g., connections to coding assistants), ensure full feature parity is validated, gaps are flagged as intentional decisions, and GTM teams are equipped to communicate them clearly.
Customer Deployment & Adoption
Develop a deep understanding of on-premises deployment complexity and bespoke enterprise architectures.
Work directly with customers and field teams to drive feature adoption and reduce time-to-value, whether that’s via the UI or the SDK.
Ensure all integrations, operators, and troubleshooting workflows have accurate, timely, and customer-ready documentation.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with PMM and GTM to develop compelling positioning, pricing & packaging input, and enablement materials.
Drive analyst briefings, customer demos, and competitive research.
Translate technical complexity into clear narratives for executive, sales, and partner audiences.
Process Optimization and Quality
Continuously improve team efficiency and effectiveness through rigorous process evaluation and proactive communication.
Test product quality regularly, ensuring both technical performance and user experiences remain uncompromising and aligned with standards.
What You Bring
Required
5+ years of product management experience in B2B technical products, with a strong track record of shipping and iterating on complex features.
Experience managing products with both SaaS and on-premises deployment models — you understand that enterprise reality is messy and know how to design for it.
A technical background in one or more of the following: cybersecurity, networking, software development, infrastructure, or AI/ML systems. You don't need to write the code, but you need to understand the tradeoffs.
Strong stakeholder management skills — you know how to align engineers, GTM teams, partners, and executives around a shared direction.
Ability to flex communication styles for diverse stakeholders, articulating the “why” behind decisions and simplifying complexity into actionable insights.
A bias toward action with the ability to make data-driven decisions under ambiguity, enabling continuous forward momentum
Preferred
Hands-on familiarity with AI security concepts — prompt injection, model abuse, data leakage, agent behavior, LLM observability, or similar.
Experience working in or with security products (WAF, API security, zero trust, SIEM, etc.).
Background in dual-track Agile and comfort balancing discovery and delivery simultaneously.
Experience influencing pricing and packaging decisions for technical products.
