The Senior Project Manager for the Delhi PMU is a strategic leadership role critical to the success and expansion of our partnership with the MCD.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

This role goes beyond standard project execution. The ideal candidate will act as the primary catalyst for navigating the bureaucratic landscape\u2014expertly securing necessary permissions, driving policy\-level consensus, and unblocking administrative bottlenecks for the implementation team. Furthermore, as the senior leader on the ground, you will <\/span>provide <\/span>comprehensive guidance, mentorship, and strategic direction to the Delhi\-based PMU personnel. Serve as the principal liaison between Peepul and senior officials within the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and allied government departments.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Proactively navigate the government ecosystem to secure critical approvals, permissions, and administrative orders <\/span><\/span>required<\/span> <\/span>for the seamless roll\-out of educational interventions.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Lead policy advocacy efforts and build consensus, ensuring absolute alignment between the MCD's administrative goals and Peepul's <\/span><\/span>programme<\/span> <\/span><\/span>objectives<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Lead, manage, and inspire the Delhi\-based Project Management Unit (PMU), fostering a collaborative and high\-performance culture of trust and excellence.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Provide strategic direction, continuous mentorship, and day\-to\-day guidance to Project Managers,<\/span> <\/span>and<\/span> <\/span>Associates, working with MCD schools.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Establish robust work\-planning systems and conduct regular reviews to ensure the team\u2019s activities are effectively prioritized and remain on track.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Project Execution & Deliverables Tracking<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

Oversee the comprehensive tracking and monitoring of <\/span><\/span>programme<\/span> <\/span>deliverables across all Delhi\-based <\/span><\/span>programmes<\/span>, ensuring alignment with agreed timelines, quality standards, and strategic <\/span><\/span>objectives<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Conduct regular reviews of zonal\-level implementation progress and <\/span><\/span>identify<\/span> <\/span>emerging bottlenecks, administrative challenges, or operational gaps that may impede <\/span><\/span>programme<\/span> <\/span>delivery.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Provide active strategic support to the PMU team in diagnosing and resolving zonal\-level challenges, including facilitating escalation to government partners where necessary and collaborating with MCD officials to unlock barriers.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Educational Background:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>A relevant educational background in <\/span><\/span>Education, Social Sciences,<\/span> <\/span>Consulting,<\/span> <\/span>Public Policy, or <\/span><\/span>a related<\/span> <\/span>field<\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Work Experience: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>We value both professional and personal experience. Candidates with <\/span><\/span>6<\/span>\-<\/span>8<\/span> <\/span>years of <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>experience leading and managing education\-related projects, preferably within the public school system or education non\-profits <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>particularly in areas such as<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>project management, monitoring <\/span><\/span>units<\/span> <\/span>or educational interventions.<\/span> <\/span>Or experience of managing project management units for government projects.<\/span> <\/span>Preference will be given to candidates who also have direct classroom and teaching experience, ideally within the government school system.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
