Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:

*** Candidate must be able to work 9 am - 6 pm PST shift ***

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross-functional leads responsible for UAT – providing them with test schedules, test data, direction, and detailed test scripts in accordance with the Enterprise Release Schedule.
  • Responsible for testing for a range of projects from and enhancements to strategic initiatives.
  • Writing & executing test plans and scripts, documentation of test procedures and issues.
  • Utilization of HP/ALM for defect logging and creation of reporting and statistics throughout the UAT cycle.
  • Partnership with IT leads in working through issues/defects & resolution.
  • Responsible for overall testing completion metrics & analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management.
  • Ensuring testing is completed within established time and that objectives conform to the user requirements and line of business.
  • Responsible for overall product delivery and approval / sign of.
  • Provide input to and shape UAT management process in alignment with industry best practices.
  • Responsible for Release Production Testing and Implementation & Launch support


Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Marketing or Business preferred/ or equivalent experience
  • 2 years’ experience in writing detailed manual test cases
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience as Website QA/ UAT tester supporting multiple applications: Black box testing, white box testing, regression testing
  • Experience designing and formally documenting departmental processes and procedures
  • 3-5 years Telecom-Wireless / Channel Experience preferred
  • Working knowledge / experience of UAT processes
  • HP/ALM knowledge and experience
  • Ability to work under pressure, on multiple assignments, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communicator
  • Superior technical expertise
  • Ability to conduct meetings, evaluate issues, provide solutions, and drive aggressive timelines
  • Scheduling flexibility required to meet UAT deadlines – off-hour testing and weekends
  • PC, tablet and desktop applications competency (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, etc.)
  • Strong business knowledge
  • In depth knowledge of information systems concept.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated decision-making and leadership abilities
