Sr. Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial control, cost management, and contractual administration for one of our projects in Abu Dhabi . This senior role ensures accurate valuations, effective cost reporting, timely certifications, and strong management of variations, claims, and contractual correspondence. You will work closely with project leadership, consultants, subcontractors, procurement, and QS teams to maintain commercial integrity and support timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end‑to‑end commercial and cost control activities for assigned projects.
  • Prepare and finalize bills of quantities, cost estimates, and commercial reports.
  • Lead monthly valuations, client payment certifications, and subcontract payments.
  • Manage variations, claims, EOT submissions, and prolongation cost assessments.
  • Review commercial and contractual correspondence and ensure compliance with FIDIC.
  • Conduct site visits to verify progress and quantities.
  • Oversee QS team outputs and provide guidance where required.
  • Support procurement evaluation, subcontractor negotiations, and final accounts.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts, cost reconciliations, and commercial dashboards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
  • 15+ years of total QS experience, including 10+ years in the UAE.
  • Minimum 10–15 years in a QS position.
  • Strong background with main contractors (mandatory).
  • Experience in luxury villas, residential buildings, or high‑rise projects.
  • Strong FIDIC contractual knowledge and claims expertise.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and QS software; CCS Candy or similar is an advantage.
  • Experience managing QS teams and handling multiple projects.
  • Preferred Attributes

  • MRICS certification (strong plus).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
