The Walt Disney Company is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join the ServiceNow ITSM & CMDB team within Enterprise Technology. This team supports Disney’s internal technology operations by building platforms that enable efficient service management and configuration tracking across the enterprise.
As a Software Developer, design, develop, and implement IT Service Management solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in ServiceNow development and a deep understanding of ITSM processes and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and customize ServiceNow ITSM applications including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management
- Design and implement workflows, business rules, UI policies, and client scripts
- Create custom applications and modules to meet specific business requirements
- Configure ServiceNow platform components including forms, lists, reports, and dashboards
- Integrate ServiceNow with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs and web services
- Develop and maintain update sets for application deployment across environments
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform testing, debugging, and performance optimization of ServiceNow applications
- Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing ITSM implementations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM modules and processes
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, and JSON
- Experience with ServiceNow scripting including server-side and client-side scripting
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and IT service management best practices
- Experience with ServiceNow integration technologies (REST, SOAP, Web Services)
- Understanding of database concepts and SQL
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM
- Experience with ServiceNow platform development tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development practices
- Experience with version control systems and DevOps practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
