Sr. Software Engineer, Siri Speech

As a software engineer on the Siri speech team, you will be an important member of a diverse and passionate group of engineers and scientists dedicated to building the foundational technologies that power meaningful experiences across Apple’s ecosystem, from Siri, dictation, and captioning to accessibility features and third-party apps. We are seeking an exceptional Sr. Software Engineer to lead the design and development of the next-generation Speech-to-Text APIs. In this role, you will be at the intersection of software engineering, machine learning, and product design. You will drive the technical strategy to integrate cutting-edge ML and generative AI capabilities into elegant, scalable, developer-friendly APIs. This is a highly technical role requiring strong technical leadership and the ability to partner effectively across teams and functions. Minimum Qualifications Software engineering experience with strong programming skills in Swift and/or Objective-C (5+ years) Experience utilizing Swift to build well-documented, easy-to-use APIs Strong software architecture skills Demonstrated experience planning and delivering software projects with and for cross-functional teams Outstanding communication skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other equivalent technical field Background in building applications on constrained hardware systems (limited memory, processing, and power) Experience integrating speech recognition or other machine learning technologies
