This is an opportunity to become a hands-on member of Moderna’s Logistics Operations Hub, where digital innovation and operational excellence come together to transform global supply chain performance. You will orchestrate material flows across a GDP-compliant distribution network while leveraging automation, AI, real-time visibility tools, and data-driven decision making to continuously improve logistics operations. Working as an individual contributor, you will serve as a key operational expert and systems super-user, collaborating across functions to ensure Moderna’s medicines move quickly, compliantly, and efficiently to patients around the world.
Here's What You'll Do:
Own and execute day-to-day logistics operations across Moderna’s GDP-compliant global distribution network, including shipment bookings, export documentation, customs clearance, distribution coordination, and exception management.
Serve as the day-to-day key user and first-line super-user for SAP, the Moderna Logistics Control Tower, and real-time visibility platforms, ensuring efficient and reliable logistics execution.
Design, develop, and continuously improve operational reports while coordinating system enhancements with business stakeholders and Digital/IT teams.
Support data integration and automation initiatives, including API and EDI interfaces, robotic process automation (RPA), AI agents, and other digital capabilities that enhance end-to-end logistics visibility and operational control.
Configure, maintain, and continuously improve KPI dashboards and self-service reporting tools that enable proactive, data-driven operational decision making.
Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and Quality System documentation to reflect best-practice digital workflows while ensuring compliance with GDP and GMP requirements.
Ensure efficient material flow across Moderna’s GDP-compliant logistics network by coordinating bookings, export documentation, customs clearance, and product distribution.
Monitor shipments in real time, proactively identify transportation delays, and collaborate with logistics partners, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to rapidly resolve exceptions.
Create, maintain, and optimize transportation lane mappings, master data, and packaging instructions within SAP and Logistics Control Tower systems.
Monitor Logistics Service Provider performance, analyze operational trends using digital dashboards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on optimizing service levels, timelines, and logistics costs.
Act as the regional logistics business partner for internal stakeholders including Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, and Digital teams, while collaborating closely with external 3PL partners to ensure strong system integration and high-quality operational data.
Represent logistics systems and operational processes within cross-functional initiatives, providing practical logistics expertise alongside digital and systems knowledge.
Support internal audits and regulatory inspections by providing accurate, system-generated evidence demonstrating compliance across Moderna’s distribution network.
Take on additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience within Distribution/Logistics and/or Supply Chain
BS/BA Degree is preferred (Supply Chain/Operations/Logistics or Business Management).
Strong preference towards Pharmaceutical and Biotech experience. Experience working in a cGMP and cGDP environment Good understanding of the Pharma industry & Supply Chain
Must demonstrate a strong understanding and knowledge of warehouse and transportation operations as well as customs handling for import / export.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
Prior experience with transportation of biopharmaceutical medicines is a plus
Previous experience in SAP or related ERP system is required.
Experience of logistics software (transport management system, warehouse management system, visibility tools)
Experience with automation and AI tools is a big plus
Demonstrate a strong and independent work ethic.
