Sr Staff Marketing Specialist

Role Overview

The Sr. Staff Marketing Specialist the key driver of regional solution strategy, definition, and enablement for the Southeast Asia (SEA) and Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) regions. This role connects global solution strategies with regional market needs, ensuring differentiated, commercially compelling solutions that accelerate growth and maximize adoption of Renesas products across target industries.

The role requires strong cross‑functional leadership, market insight, and hands‑on execution across solution definition, Go‑to‑Market (GTM), competitive positioning, and performance measurement.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Solution Strategy & Portfolio Development

  • Own and drive regional solution strategy for SEA and ANZ, aligned with global solution direction.

  • Develop regionally differentiated solutions tailored to local market and customer requirements.

  • Identify high‑growth opportunities through TAM / SAM / SOM analysis and evaluate ROI for solution investments.

Solution Definition & Proposal Leadership

  • Lead regional solution proposal creation, working closely with Technology Application Architects (TAA) to define:

  • Solution block diagrams and system architectures

  • Technical specifications and feature sets

  • Clear unique selling points (USPs) aligned with customer value

  • Work with Renesas Sales (SAL) teams and TAA to create and own Solution Requirement Documents (SRD).

  • Ensure solutions maximize usage and value of Renesas products through collaboration with multiple Product Groups (PG).

Solution Development & Ecosystem Collaboration

  • Upon SRD approval, coordinate with System Solution Teams and/or external partners to execute solution development.

  • Ensure timely, high‑quality solution delivery aligned with both technical and commercial objectives.

Go‑to‑Market Execution & Channel Enablement

  • Drive regional GTM execution in alignment with global Solution Marketing strategies.

  • Develop compelling solution messaging, value propositions, application examples, and positioning.

  • Partner closely with Channel Marketing to support:

  • Mass‑market GTM initiatives

  • Distributor readiness programs (webinars, trainings, MARCOM campaigns, roadshows/caravans and incentives)

Competitive & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct competitive analysis for target Bills of Materials (BOMs) and competing system solutions.

  • Collect and synthesize customer feedback, competitor intelligence, and Product Group insights for continuous improvement of solution offerings.

Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and measure solution impact, funnel progression, and direct/indirect influence (DI) using CRM and reporting tools.

  • Use data‑driven insights to refine solution strategies, GTM execution, and portfolio focus.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, marketing, solution marketing, or technical sales.

  • Strong understanding of Robotics, Industrial Automation, Building Automation, Energy, or broader embedded systems markets.

  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships and follow up leads in the field.

  • Demonstrated experience in solution positioning, GTM execution, and cross‑functional collaboration.

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, cross‑functional, and multicultural environment.

Preferred

  • Experience working with channel partners and distributors in SEA and/or ANZ.

  • Exposure to semiconductor, system‑level, or solution‑based product portfolios.
