Staff Accountant

We are looking for a highly organized, self\-directed Staff Accountant to join our team in a key operational role. This position combines hands\-on accounting, AR/AP management, revenue recognition, vendor and customer coordination, and property administration responsibilities across multiple entities and business functions. <\/span>

Key Responsibilities <\/span>
<\/p>

Accounts Receivable & Customer Billing <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Manage customer invoicing, receivables, collections, and payment follow\-up <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Review project status and supporting documentation before invoicing <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Communicate with customers, lenders, operations teams, and internal stakeholders regarding billing and account questions <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Identify billing issues proactively and escalate appropriately <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Assist with revenue recognition for completed projects <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Deposit checks and maintain accurate cash records <\/span>
<\/p>

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Manage vendor onboarding including W9s, COIs, and payment information <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Review invoices for accuracy, approval routing, and proper accounting treatment <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Process vendor payments in accordance with company terms and maintain vendor relationships <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Coordinate with operations and leadership regarding purchasing and project\-related expenses <\/span>
<\/p>

Operational & Construction Accounting <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Perform general bookkeeping and assist with monthly financial close <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Support accrual accounting processes, job costing, deferred revenue, and multi\-entity accounting <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and maintain organized financial records <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Assist with sales tax tracking, reporting, and compliance <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Build and maintain reports within NetSuite and Excel <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Participate in ongoing process improvement and operational cleanup efforts <\/span>
<\/p>

Property Management <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants located on premises <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Coordinate tenant move\-ins and move\-outs, including key preparation, access coordination, and required signage <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Receive, deposit, and record rental payments from tenants <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Respond to and coordinate resolution of building maintenance issues and tenant concerns <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers for building maintenance and repairs <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Maintain lease files and property records <\/span>
<\/p>

Communication & Coordination <\/span>

\u2022 Proactively communicate with management regarding upcoming deadlines, tenant activity, and property issues <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Ensure time\-sensitive tasks are completed sufficiently in advance of deadlines <\/span>

\u2022 Notify management of planned absences and ensure coverage for critical responsibilities

Requirements<\/h3>

\u2022 Minimum 2\u20135 years of relevant accounting experience (more experience preferred) <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank deposits required <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Experience with accrual accounting and financial reconciliations required <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Strong Excel skills required; experience with NetSuite and/or Bill.com preferred <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Office <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Prior property management or commercial real estate experience strongly preferred <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Construction, cost basis, or job\-cost accounting experience preferred <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Experience supporting multi\-entity businesses preferred; audit experience a plus <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to work independently <\/span>
<\/p>

\u2022 Must be dependable and committed to consistent, punctual in\-office attendance
