The Staff Accountant role is a vital member of the finance team, contributing to the accurate and timely financial reporting of our organization. Your duties will include preparing financial statements, conducting monthly and annual account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Your analytical skills will be essential in identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.

This role is based at our Charlotte, NC office working a hybrid schedule of in-office 3x per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations in support of month-end closing activities for multiple business units, ensuring proper documentation is obtained

    • Accruals, allocation, reclass and pre-paid journal entries

    • Inter-company adjustments and reconciliation

  • Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger identifying out of balances, the causes and resolving the possibility of future issues

  • Respond to inquiries regarding financial statements and general ledgers

  • Assist with ad hoc projects and analyses as requested

  • Ability to adapt and effectively interact with teams at different locations

  • Assist with interim and annual audits

  • Assist with the preparation and distribution (footnote templates, roll-forwards, etc.); accounting inquiries from domestic and international business partners

  • Ensure all supporting documentation is in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines and company policies

  • Consistently evaluate areas for process improvement.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

  • 1-3 years of experience in general accounting

  • Experience in manufacturing preferred

  • Must possess strong analytical skills

  • Competency with Microsoft Office and Advanced Excel functions

  • Experience with SAP and Oracle accounting systems

  • Experience with OneStream and its reconciliation modules a plus

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written

  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment

The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
