Meet the Team

Join a dynamic MCU Validation team that drives post-silicon validation and characterization of analog and mixed-signal IPs, power management circuits, clocking systems, and data converters in next-generation low-power MCUs and wireless SoCs.

We work closely with design, verification, applications, architecture, and firmware teams to deliver high-performance, low-power solutions. Collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence define our culture, making this an exciting place to grow, lead, and make a real impact.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analog Validation Engineer to help build and expand our analog validation capabilities within the MCU Validation team in Hyderabad, India.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with deep expertise in analog and mixed-signal silicon validation and characterization. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of power management circuits, clock generation systems, data converters, and analog interfaces, along with practical experience in lab measurements, automation, and silicon debug.

Good understanding of embedded firmware, digital subsystems, Python-based automation, and RF systems is highly desirable to enable efficient validation of complex SoCs and wireless MCUs.

The role also involves mentoring engineers, driving technical initiatives, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across multiple sites. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to world-class silicon solutions while growing as a technical leader.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute validation and characterization plans for analog and mixed-signal blocks on silicon
  • Validate and characterize analog IPs including power management, clocking, sensing, and data conversion circuits
  • Perform detailed electrical characterization across process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) conditions
  • Develop embedded firmware (C/C++) as needed to enable validation and characterization scenarios
  • Build and maintain Python-based automation frameworks to control lab instrumentation and automate data collection and analysis
  • Utilize lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, source measure units (SMUs), signal generators, network analyzers, and AWGs
  • Debug silicon issues, identify failure mechanisms, and drive root-cause analysis in collaboration with design and verification teams
  • Analyze characterization data and provide actionable feedback to design teams
  • Document validation methodologies, test results, and characterization reports
  • Drive or participate in cross-functional technical reviews
  • Contribute to the development of automated silicon characterization infrastructure, including hardware platforms, software frameworks, device drivers, databases, and measurement libraries
  • Implement scalable validation methodologies and best practices to ensure product quality and efficient execution
  • Collaborate closely with global MCU Validation teams, IC designers, and firmware/software developers
  • Lead validation projects in an inter-site, cross-functional environment
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal post-silicon validation and characterization of SoCs, MCUs, or wireless ICs
  • Strong understanding of analog circuit fundamentals and measurement techniques
  • Extensive hands-on experience validating and characterizing blocks such as:
    • Power Management: DCDC converters, LDOs, Brown-Out Detectors, voltage references
    • Clocking Systems: RC oscillators, crystal oscillators, PLLs, clock distribution networks
    • Data Converters: ADCs, DACs, comparators
    • Analog Front Ends: amplifiers, op-amps, sensors, signal conditioning circuits
  • Strong experience with silicon debug and root-cause analysis
  • Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation including oscilloscopes, SMUs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, and AWGs
  • Experience developing automation frameworks using Python
  • Ability to analyze datasheets, reference manuals, and design documentation
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and PCB layouts
  • Experience with statistical data analysis and characterization methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with embedded firmware development using C/C++
  • Knowledge of ARM Cortex-M or RISC-V architectures
  • Good understanding of MCU digital subsystems and interfaces such as GPIO, DMA, USART, SPI, I2C, I3C, USB, and QSPI
  • Hands-on experience in hardware design, schematic capture, or board bring-up
  • Working knowledge of RF systems including transmitter and receiver architectures
  • Familiarity with RF measurements such as output power, sensitivity, phase noise, EVM, and spectral compliance
  • Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical projects
  • Familiarity with production test flows

"Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) powered tools and technologies used to enhance productivity, analysis, and decision-making"
