Staff Engineer, UKG Timekeeping - Implementation

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Total Experience 6+ years
  • Strong experience in UKG implementation projects with at least 2–3 full lifecycle implementations
  • UKG Certification in Timekeeping / Workforce Management (Mandatory)
  • Strong expertise in UKG Ready / UKG Pro WFM Timekeeping, Time & Attendance processes and Workforce Management solutions
  • Strong functional understanding of Timekeeping, Accruals, Scheduling, Leave & Absence Management, Core/Employee Setup, UKG Payroll, Benefits Administration, Reporting & Analytics, Integrations
  • Experience in Pay rule and work rule configuration, Attendance and labor compliance setup and Payroll integration and downstream data flows
  • Hands-on experience with Payroll systems such as UKG Payroll and ADP, HRIS platforms such as Workday and SAP SuccessFactors
  • Good understanding of API-based integrations, Middleware tools such as Boomi and SFTP, flat-file integrations and Data migration, validation, and reconciliation
  • Experience in client-facing implementations and stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of labor laws, workforce compliance, and audit requirements
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Retail, or Healthcare industries preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills
  • Agile/Scrum delivery experience is a plus
  • Exposure to UKG Pro and Payroll systems preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead end-to-end solution design and implementation for UKG Timekeeping (UKG Ready / UKG Pro WFM)

• Translate business requirements into scalable and compliant workforce management solutions

• Provide best-practice guidance on Timekeeping, Scheduling, Labor compliance, Attendance policies

• Lead full lifecycle implementation activities including Discovery and requirements gathering, Solution design and configuration, SIT/UAT testing, deployment and hypercare support

• Review and approve Pay rules, Work rules, Accrual configurations, Attendance policies and compliance configurations

• Conduct workshops with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders

• Act as the primary functional lead for client engagements

• Manage project timelines, risks, escalations, and stakeholder expectations

• Oversee integrations with Payroll, HRIS, and third-party systems

• Collaborate with technical teams on API integrations, Middleware solutions and SFTP/file-based integrations

• Support data migration, validation, reconciliation, and go-live readiness activities

• Ensure compliance with labor laws, organizational policies, and audit standards

• Drive issue resolution, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Prepare and maintain high-quality configuration documents, design artifacts, and governance documentation

• Ensure successful go-live with minimal defects and strong stakeholder satisfaction

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
