Staff Nurse / Registered Nurse (Elderly Care) | Up to $4500
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurses / Registered Nurses to join our healthcare team in a premium private assisted living environment. You will play a vital role in delivering quality nursing care, supporting residents’ wellbeing, and ensuring professional healthcare standards are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet residents’ healthcare needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by doctors
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Provide health education and counselling to residents and family members
- Supervise meal serving and assist with residents’ feeding requirements where necessary
- Respond promptly and appropriately to medical and nursing emergencies
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and reports
- Ensure safe handling and movement of residents in accordance with infection control and safety standards
- Follow up on residents to ensure continuity of care and treatment adherence
Administrative Duties
- Support and deputize the Nurse Manager when required
- Adhere to nursing policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
- Ensure proper utilisation of medical supplies and ward resources
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents and staff
- Assist in stock management and ward supply inventory
- Ensure proper documentation and custody of controlled medications
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Teaching & Supervision
- Supervise and guide junior nursing staff and healthcare assistants
- Support orientation and training programmes for new staff
- Mentor team members to maintain high standards of clinical competency
- Serve as a resource person for nursing and clinical-related matters
Professional Development
- Participate actively in training programmes and competency assessments
- Keep updated with current nursing practices and healthcare developments
- Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve resident care and service standards
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management team
Requirements
- State Registered Nurse qualification from an accredited institution
- Valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) license
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Post-basic certification in Gerontology, Elder Care, or Dementia Care will be an advantage
- Minimum 1 year of ward, nursing home, or resident care experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to elderly care
- Comfortable working rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
