Many of the features we build help connect viewers with creators, and we’re building even more. We are introducing new interactions and features to both our new product, Gifts, and our existing flagship Super Chat product. We're looking for talented individuals to join our team and help us make these products a success. We are seeking a Tech Lead to scale the PDG Live Interactivity team through mentorship and strategy while influencing partner teams.Our full-stack team focuses on building new user interactions. We need a software engineer with frontend experience who can also handle client-server interactions, metrics instrumentation, experiment analysis, data modeling, and architectural decisions to ensure velocity.

US: $207000 - $301000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Drive value for our flagship Super Chat product (over $100M ARR) and our growing virtual-currency business, Gifts, through engaging interactive features.
  • Define and execute a multi-quarter technical roadmap for PDG's interactive features.
  • Expand Gifts from vertical video into horizontal formats, and collaborate with product teams to set technical strategies for YouTube TV.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  • 5 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
