YRGMERF\nis anticipating a project to strengthen the Urban Ecosystem Against Future\nDisease Threats by implementing a framework for urban\-peri\-urban coordination.\nThis project if commissioned will require a team of below positions to support\nthe coordination, implementation and monitoring of several components.

  • The State Data Quality\nAssurance (DQA) Officer will be responsible for ensuring a performance tracker\nsystem is used for the project activities and data quality assurance systems\nare in place. Will report to Project Lead based at Bengaluru. Will work closely\nwith other team members.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li><\/ul>

    Performance\nTracking<\/span><\/span><\/b>
    <\/span><\/span><\/p>

    • In alignment with the project design,\nthe State DQA officer is expected to establish a performance tracker in\ncoordination with the National team and provides orientation to the state team\nmembers on its use.
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Regularly uses the tracker both in the\nfield and while preparing the report to ensure that the monthly activity\ndeliverables are in progress.
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Flags delays or performance lags in\nconsultation with the city coordinator and project lead to prepare an action\nplan, so that the team is able to improve on their performance.
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Ensures timely preparation of reports,\ndocuments and technical briefs in consultation with the donor and stakeholders.
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Supports in preparation of baseline for\nthe project and ensures regular monitoring of the deliverables against those\nbaselines.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/b>

      Data Quality\nAssurance<\/span><\/span><\/b>
      <\/span><\/span><\/p>

      • Although no patient or disease level\ndata will be captured or shared for use in the project, there will be a\nsignificant level of data use in implementing the project activities from\nsecondary sources. The project team will also generate process and output level\ninformation for use, State DQA officer will adapt the DQA system developed by\nthe National Team to the
        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Works closely with the subject experts\nto ensure that the secondary sources of data are relevant for planning and\ndesigning interventions. How those secondary sources of data can be used for\nprojections about future disease outbreaks or patterns.

      • Conducts field visit to observe field\noperations first\-hand, interact with local stakeholders
        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Ensures that all project activities\ncomply with YRGMERF\u2019s organisational policies on ethics, safeguarding, data\nprotection, and financial management.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

        Reporting and\nDocumentation<\/span><\/span><\/b>
        <\/span><\/span><\/p>

        • Ensures that the data quality checks are\nperformed during field visits and the gaps are discussed with the team, subject\nexperts.
          <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Progress monitoring and documentation of\nthe activities for the submission to donor and stakeholders is a key\nresponsibility of this position.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/b>

              Qualifications and Experience<\/span><\/span><\/b>
              <\/p>

              • Masters in Statistics or\nEpidemiology or Population Studies with minimum 5 years' experience in managing\ndata systems and data use in programming in Karnataka under NUHM, Urban Health,\nDisease Surveillance, One Health Activities, National Vector Borne Control\nProgram. <\/span><\/span><\/span>

              • Preference will be given to local candidates who understands and have\nworked in Karnataka Health Systems.<\/span><\/span>
