• Prepare structural metal products for welding and riveting by accurately laying out parts and aligning edges
• Fit metal parts together while accounting for heat and shrinkage effects on metal during assembly of bridges and buildings
• Position metal parts manually or by operating cranes and hoists to ensure precise placement
• Operate various tools and machines to handle and place metal components effectively
