Steward/Dishwasher (Caesars New Orleans)
As a member of our Stewarding/Dishwasher team you are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all dishes and silverware to be used by guests of casino/hotel, cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen equipment, and cleaning and sanitizing the dining room and banquet areas. This is a part-time position.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, silverware, kitchen equipment, dining rooms, and banquet areas
- Maintain an upbeat and positive demeanor in all interactions as well as maintaining composure in handling difficult interactions
- Comply with company regulations, policies, and procedures
- Act as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to the Company and encourages others to do the same
- Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Must have reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documents
- Ability to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending on identified needs of the company
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
A FEW MORE THINGS:
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the kitchen and food service areas.
- Must be able to tolerate areas with temperatures in excess of 115 degrees near dish machine.
- Must be able to use chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen areas.
- Must be able to operate the dish machine.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push carts, pull, bend, stoop, and stack racks of dishes and silverware.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
