Stores Operative

Your main accountabilities will be to:

Efficiently operate mechanical handling equipment to the required standards following training
Support achievement of the required product throughput to meet production plans
Carry out all duties in line with food legislation, BRC and customer food safety requirements
Raise mechanical handling equipment inefficiencies and faults with the relevant Managers or department.
Maintain all machinery to a level commensurate with their role.
Assist with providing materials for product changeovers to the required standards and timescales.
Maintain all stores in a clean and hygienic manner, including any ice or snow in the cold store
Accurate completion of all documentation required for out loads to ensure product is traceable and quality standards have been maintained.
Take part if required in Daily reviews at performance boards and ownership of efficiency issues.
Identification of sub-standard stock is met at all times.
Ensure that all required stock is available for the production team at the correct quantity at the correct time.

Hours: 2 week rotating pattern Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, 7am to 7pm week 1 and 7pm to 7am week 2 - 45 hours per week.

£13.65 per hour plus a 50p per hour uplift when working nights.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

Mechanical handling equipment qualifications (FLT, ride on barrows, pedestrian pallet trucks)
Numeracy and literacy skills
Basic IT Skills
