As a Strategist, Government Affairs, you will lead engagement with federal and Quebec government stakeholders to shape public policy and advance Enbridge’s business priorities. You will play a key role in strengthening the company’s reputation and advocacy efforts by delivering strategic insights and building strong internal and external partnerships.

What You Will Do

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with federal and Quebec government stakeholders, including elected officials and departments

  • Develop and execute government relations and advocacy strategies aligned to business priorities

  • Produce high-quality briefing materials, presentations, and communications for leadership decision-making

  • Support corporate public policy positions through research, analysis, and strategic recommendations

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate engagement activities

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of strategic engagement plans

  • Provide government relations expertise and guidance to business units across the organization

Who You Are

  • Degree in political science, business, communications, or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience

  • Bilingual in French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Eligible to register as a lobbyist federally and in Quebec

  • Strong understanding of public policy, government processes, and stakeholder engagement

  • Proven ability to influence, build relationships, and navigate complex environments

  • Highly organized, strategic thinker with strong writing and analytical capabilities

Working Conditions:

  • Typical office environment

  • Based in Ottawa with up to 50% travel required within Canada

Salary Ranges from $115,000.00 – $135,000.00 CAD for Ontario locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.

In addition to salary, there are generous short and long term incentives, which contribute to the overall compensation.
