This is a non-union positionAs a Strategist, Government Affairs, you will lead engagement with federal and Quebec government stakeholders to shape public policy and advance Enbridge’s business priorities. You will play a key role in strengthening the company’s reputation and advocacy efforts by delivering strategic insights and building strong internal and external partnerships.
What You Will Do
Build and maintain strong relationships with federal and Quebec government stakeholders, including elected officials and departments
Develop and execute government relations and advocacy strategies aligned to business priorities
Produce high-quality briefing materials, presentations, and communications for leadership decision-making
Support corporate public policy positions through research, analysis, and strategic recommendations
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate engagement activities
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of strategic engagement plans
Provide government relations expertise and guidance to business units across the organization
Who You Are
Degree in political science, business, communications, or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience
Bilingual in French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Eligible to register as a lobbyist federally and in Quebec
Strong understanding of public policy, government processes, and stakeholder engagement
Proven ability to influence, build relationships, and navigate complex environments
Highly organized, strategic thinker with strong writing and analytical capabilities
Working Conditions:
Typical office environment
Based in Ottawa with up to 50% travel required within Canada
Salary Ranges from $115,000.00 – $135,000.00 CAD for Ontario locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
In addition to salary, there are generous short and long term incentives, which contribute to the overall compensation.
