Strategy and Insights Manager, Retail
The Global Business Organization (GBO) is the engine that powers Google’s full ecosystem of products and services to help customers and partners succeed and grow. GBO includes the commercial arms of Ads sellers, business development teams, and customer services and support, as well as overlay programs that enable coordinated engagement with Google's most complex and important customers and partners.
- Provide support and consulting on client's/partner’s strategy in the areas of sales, marketing and/or product development, and translate data into answers to business questions and/or insights to facilitate business decision-making.
- Develop and own analytical modeling for key client/partner projects, apply and/or customize analytical tools (e.g. dashboards) and frameworks to identify opportunities, and develop solutions to optimize client/partner business and maximize the use and effectiveness of Google products.
- Collaborate with sales teams to drive business growth with clients/partners, conduct in-depth analysis and identify business opportunities, and support the development of go-to-market business pitch and marketing collateral.
- Build and manage relationships with client/partner stakeholders across functions and levels, and own the relationship with the data/analytical stakeholders on the client’s/partner’s side.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in media analytics, advertising sales, digital media and marketing, consulting, or financial analysis.
- Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience partnering with, and influencing executive stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the retail, tech, or healthcare industries and digital marketing tools (e.g., Search, Social, Mobile, Display, Video, local spaces).
- Ability to grow in ambiguity and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Ability to demonstrate effective communications, project management, and organizational skills. Excellent spreadsheet and presentation software skills.
- Ability to apply structured approaches to problem solving, with excellent problem solving skills.
