Strategy Lead
At Team Global Express, we're building a product-led commercial organisation focused on delivering growth, innovation, and customer value across our freight network.
As we continue to accelerate our strategic transformation, we're seeking an experienced Product Strategy Lead to join our Product & Strategy team.
This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded strategist who can translate vision into action, influence senior stakeholders, and help shape the future direction of one of Australia's leading logistics businesses.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Product & Strategy, the Product Strategy Lead will play a critical role in connecting strategic intent with execution across the Freight business.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the commercial roadmap, ensuring product, pricing, sales, finance, and operational initiatives remain aligned and focused on delivering measurable business outcomes.
Working across multiple business units, you will drive strategic planning, investment decisions, portfolio prioritisation, and governance while helping the business navigate growth opportunities and transformation initiatives.
This role requires someone who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority, and translating complex business challenges into practical, commercially sound solutions.
What You'll Be Doing

Align product, pricing, sales, finance, and operational initiatives across the Freight portfolio
Lead business case development, investment proposals, and strategic recommendations

Connect long-term business objectives to near-term delivery priorities
Evaluate market opportunities, customer trends, and competitive activity
Portfolio Leadership & Governance
Maintain oversight of strategic initiatives across the Product & Strategy portfolio
Monitor initiative performance, risks, dependencies, and commercial outcomes
Drive prioritisation decisions and ensure resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities
Establish governance frameworks, reporting structures, and escalation pathways
Partner with the Product Portfolio Lead to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
Build trusted relationships across Product, Sales, Pricing, Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership teams
Influence decision-making and drive alignment across multiple business units
Prepare and present strategic recommendations, business cases, and portfolio updates to senior leadership
Facilitate discussions that balance competing priorities while maintaining focus on commercial outcomes
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve commercial performance, customer outcomes, and operational effectiveness
Explore AI, automation, and emerging technologies to support business growth
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and strategic thinking across the organisation
What Success Looks Like
The successful candidate will be able to:
Develop and confidently present strategic recommendations to Executive Leadership Team and Board-level audiences
Influence and align senior stakeholders across multiple business units without direct authority
Translate complex commercial challenges into structured, actionable plans
Build compelling business cases supported by financial analysis and commercial rationale
Lead, coach, and develop team members while building capability within the Product & Strategy function
Balance strategic thinking with practical execution to deliver measurable business outcomes
About You
We're looking for a commercially astute strategic leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys turning ideas into action.
You will bring:
Minimum 7 years' experience in Strategy, Commercial Management, Product Strategy, Consulting, Business Transformation, or a related field
Demonstrated experience developing and executing commercial strategies
Strong business case development, financial modelling, and investment evaluation capability
Experience presenting to ELT, Board, or senior executive stakeholders
Proven ability to influence and drive outcomes across multiple business units
Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring high-performing teams
Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability
