What is this role like？

We're looking for a highly driven Strategy & Operations Associate to join Topsort in our Boston/Somerville office. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution. You'll work across teams to solve problems, improve how we operate, and help turn ideas into outcomes.

You'll move between strategy and execution regularly—researching business problems, analyzing data, identifying opportunities, building processes, coordinating projects, and helping teams turn plans into results. While you'll have visibility across the business, this is first and foremost an execution role. Success comes from being resourceful, dependable, and willing to jump into whatever needs attention. We're looking for someone who enjoys both thinking and doing: developing insights, solving problems, and rolling up their sleeves to make things happen.

• Support strategic and operational initiatives across the company, helping turn ideas into execution.
• Own special projects from planning through completion, ensuring details don't fall through the cracks.
• Gather and analyze information to support business decisions and uncover opportunities for improvement.
• Build processes, documentation, and systems that help the company scale.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects and keep teams aligned and moving forward.
• Track progress on key initiatives and help ensure successful execution.
• Help solve operational challenges and remove blockers that prevent teams from moving quickly.
• Step into high-priority problems wherever they appear and help drive them to resolution.

What (we think) you need to be successful - we’re open to not checking all the boxes and be proven wrong by outlier candidates as well!

• 0–3 years of experience in consulting, operations, business analysis, startups, finance, product operations, project management, or a related field.
• Recent graduates with exceptional academic or entrepreneurial are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with data analysis, AI tools or business intelligence platforms is a plus.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and operate under a fast paced environment with intensity.
• Fearless attitude - ability to dive into the unknown, research and quickly learn about a new topic and become a subject matter expert on it.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and figuring things out independently.
