Structural Designer – Buildings (Boston, MA)

STV is seeking a Structural Designer to join our Buildings team in our Boston, MA office. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing, collaborative group delivering complex structural design solutions across a diverse portfolio of building projects.

Our Boston Buildings practice supports a strong backlog of work across multiple sectors and continues to grow. This role offers exposure to multidisciplinary teams and provides a solid foundation for developing structural engineering expertise within the built environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and analysis of building structures, including steel, concrete, and other structural systems
  • Assist in preparing structural calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction support activities
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to deliver coordinated design solutions
  • Support projects through various phases, from design through construction

Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience in structural analysis and design, preferably within buildings or vertical construction
  • Experience with software such as ETABS, RISA 3D, SAP2000, Revit preferred
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) certification preferred or in progress
  • Ability to work both in an office environment and on project sites as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation Range:

$82,862.07 - $94,699.51
