Student - Abele Scholar Student Director
The Student Director serves as the primary student leader of the scholarship program, working
closely with program staff to guide initiatives, support student engagement, and ensure a
cohesive and impactful experience for all participants. This role provides strategic direction,
oversees student leaders, and plays a central role in communication, programming, and
community-building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and take full responsibility for planning, organizing, and facilitating All-Abele
meetings - Lead monthly Cohort Leader meetings with Abele Staff Director to align on goals, share
updates, and support leadership development - Coordinate and support outreach efforts to both current students and program alumni
- Strengthen connections within the alumni community by fostering relationships
- Assist with planning and executing events, workshops, and key program initiatives
- Gather and incorporate student feedback to improve program quality and engagement
- Act as the primary liaison between students and program staff

- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with event planning, facilitation, or student organizations
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and stay organized

- Confidence in leading meetings and engaging diverse groups
