Job Description
The Food Cupboard Student Worker position assists with the day-to-day operations of the NHCC Food Cupboard, supporting students’ basic needs and overall well-being. This is an on-campus position focused on providing welcoming, confidential support to students accessing food, hygiene, and other CARE Center services.
Responsibilities:
Welcome students and visitors, explain service procedures, and assist visitors with checkout
Receive and stock food and hygiene items as needed within the Food Cupboard
Support with deliveries and donations, and properly stock items
Organize, clean, and sanitize the Food Cupboard and storage areas, including disposal of cardboard and recycling
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Salary Range:
$15 per hour
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled as a student at North Hennepin Community College
Awarded work study on your financial award in eServices
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be reliable and consistent.
Excellent customer service, communication, and organization skills.
Commitment to always maintaining student and employee confidentiality.
Experience using Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Teams.
Takes initiative on tasks that need to be completed.
