Our paid 12-week summer Internship Program gives you real exposure to technical and advisory work, structured development, and direct access to experts across our business. You'll contribute to real projects while gaining practical experience in a leading engineering consultancy.

We have opportunities in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, and Ōtautahi Christchurch for students currently studying Mechanical Engineering who want to learn, grow, and explore a career in consultancy.

Bring your ideas to life in either our Energy & Industrial team, supporting industrial facilities, manufacturing, and energy infrastructure, or our Buildings team, helping create safe, sustainable, and future-ready buildings. Depending on your placement and interests, you'll gain exposure to different projects, technical challenges, and career pathways. Your summer could look like this

• If you're interested in Energy & Industrial, support projects involving industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, energy infrastructure, and process systems that help keep industry moving

• If you're interested in Buildings, contribute to the design of mechanical building services systems that support hospitals, airports, commercial developments, education facilities, and other spaces where people live, work, learn, and connect

Our Internship Program is designed to build your technical capability, grow your consulting confidence, and provide insight into different career pathways.

Supported by your team leader, a buddy, and a dedicated early careers team, you'll take part in our Intern Learning Series and Leadership Series—helping you develop your professional skills, expand your network, and understand how complex work is delivered across teams and disciplines.

What you’ll bring

• Currently studying Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and ideally in your second-to-last year of study

• An interest in either industrial process and energy systems, or mechanical building services and the built environment

• Available for 12 weeks full-time work from mid-November 2026 to February 2027 (with a two-week break over Christmas and New Year)

• Curiosity, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset
