Community Living Options (CLO) is a leading NDIS registered disability service provider.

We are a values-focused organisation, who put the people we support first. Established in 1982 by a group of local parents who wanted respite and accommodation for their adult children, we have expanded exponentially because our participants love our services.

Community Living Options provides placement opportunities for students to gain practical experience required for their qualifications. CLO offer hands-on learning in a supportive enviroment, helping students develop real-world skills while making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

What will placement look like?

Every day can be different as a Support Worker! You will positively contribute to the lives of the individuals and will play an active role in ensuring everyone experiences great opportunities and a great life.

CLO aims to match your skills and interests with the people you support, and we encourage people with varying backgrounds in disability and mental health to apply.

You will empower our participants by assisting in assessment of needs and providing education, training, and support in the least restrictive environment.

About You

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and assist with daily living tasks and personal care
  • Learn how to provide manual handling support
  • Understand how to help individuals achieve their goals and maximize their potential
  • In a supervised enviroment you will unpack how to Implement individual support plans and development programs to support goal achievement
  • In depth support to manage risk and ensure safety at all times
  • Engage in person centred active support
  • See first hand how to maintain accurate records and documentation

Qualifications & Licences

  • Require placement for the Certificate III (or above) in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Mental Health or Community Services
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to obtain
  • Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Manual Handling certificate
