We're looking for students from a range of backgrounds and disciplines—not just engineers—who want to learn, grow and explore what's possible as a Student Project Manager Consultant. Bring your ideas to life in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland Transport team, where you'll help support the delivery of infrastructure projects that keep New Zealand moving, working alongside technical specialists, clients, and project teams. Your summer could look like this

Our Internship Program is designed to build your technical capability, grow your consulting confidence, and provide insight into different career pathways.

Supported by your team leader, a buddy, and a dedicated early careers team, you'll take part in our Intern Learning Series and Leadership Series—helping you develop your professional skills, expand your network, and understand how complex work is delivered across teams and disciplines.

What you’ll bring:

  • Currently studying a relevant degree and ideally in your second-to-last year of study

  • An interest in how complex infrastructure projects are delivered from concept through to completion

  • Available for 12 weeks full-time work from mid-November 2026 to February 2027 (with a two-week break over Christmas and New Year)

  • Curiosity, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset
