Student Support Mentor (UAEN)

The Student Success Mentor (SSM) serves as the primary\nmentor, facilitator, and cohort leader for a group of approximately 25\u201330\nscholarship students participating in the Student Program.
<\/p>
<\/p>
The SSM is responsible for supporting student engagement,\nattendance, participation, project\-based learning, and overall student\nwell\-being throughout the program. Acting as a mentor and facilitator, the SSM\nguides students through workshops, discussions, team activities, and a\ncohort\-based mini\-project, helping them develop the skills, confidence, and\nreadiness required for a successful transition to university life abroad.

The Student Success Mentor plays a critical role in\ncreating a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment while\nfostering leadership, collaboration, cultural awareness, and personal growth\namong participants.

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Serve as the primary point of contact for an\nassigned cohort of 25\u201330 students. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Build positive and supportive relationships with\nstudents throughout the program. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Guide studying abroad, university life, cultural\nadaptation, and personal development. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Support student well\-being and identify students\nwho may require additional assistance. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming\nenvironment for all participants. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Facilitation & Student Engagement · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Facilitate cohort discussions, reflection\nsessions, team\-building activities, and learning exercises. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Encourage active participation and engagement\nduring workshops and program activities. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Support guest speakers, trainers, and workshop\nfacilitators during sessions. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Promote peer\-to\-peer learning and collaboration\namong students. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Lead daily check\-ins and cohort debrief\nsessions. Cohort\nProject Facilitation<\/b> · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Guide students through a cohort\-based\nmini\-project during the program. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Facilitate brainstorming, planning, teamwork,\nand project execution. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Support students in developing creative\nsolutions and presentations. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Coach students on communication, collaboration,\nand presentation skills. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Assist students in preparing and delivering\nfinal project presentations. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Attendance & Cohort Management Monitor\nand record daily attendance.<\/b> · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Track student participation and engagement\nthroughout the program. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Ensure assigned students are present, informed,\nand prepared for all sessions and activities. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Maintain accurate attendance and engagement\nrecords. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Escalate attendance, behavioral, or welfare\nconcerns to program management when required. Program\nOperations Support · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Assist with student registration and orientation\nactivities. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Support event logistics and student movement\nbetween sessions and activities. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Communicate schedules, updates, and program\nexpectations to assigned students. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Represent the program professionally at all\ntimes. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Contribute to the overall success and smooth\noperation of the Pre\-Departure Program. Qualifications\n& Experience<\/b> Essential Bachelor's degree (completed within the last 5 years\npreferred). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time\-management abilities. Passion for youth development, education, and student\nsuccess. Ability to engage, motivate, and mentor young adults. Professional, approachable, and positive attitude. Fluent in English. Preferred<\/b> Former scholarship recipient or study\-abroad participant. Experience in mentoring, coaching, facilitation, education,\nyouth programs, student leadership, camps, or events. Ability to communicate in both Arabic and English.
