Role overview

Anglian Learning is pleased to share with you an exciting opportunity for a Student Support Officer to join Stour Valley Community School, duties include:

  • supporting the Raising Standards Leads in providing pastoral care and behaviour support to the students

  • supporting the systems that will enable the school to improve on the base figures on attendance and truancy as set by the government

  • providing support to allow students to better cope with the challenges they face.

You will need:

  • experience of working with children in a professional setting

  • the ability to write detailed reports, letters and complete complex returns

  • the ability to establish respectful and trusting relationships with children, their families, carers and other adults

  • good organisational skills to manage your time effectively.
