Our paid 12-week summer Internship Program gives you real exposure to technical and advisory work, structured development, and direct access to experts across our business. You'll contribute to real projects while gaining practical experience in a leading engineering consultancy.

We have opportunities in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, and Ōtautahi Christchurch for students currently studying Surveying, GIS, Geospatial Science, or a related discipline who want to learn, grow, and explore a career in consultancy.

Bring your ideas to life in either our Surveying team, supporting spatial data collection and measurement that informs the delivery of major infrastructure projects, or our GIS & Spatial Consulting team, helping transform data into meaningful insights through mapping, analytics, and digital solutions. Depending on your placement and interests, you'll gain exposure to different projects, technical challenges, and career pathways. Your summer could look like this

Our Internship Program is designed to build your technical capability, grow your consulting confidence, and provide insight into different career pathways.

Supported by your team leader, a buddy, and a dedicated early careers team, you'll take part in our Intern Learning Series and Leadership Series—helping you develop your professional skills, expand your network, and understand how complex work is delivered across teams and disciplines.

What you’ll bring

• Currently studying a Bachelor of Surveying at the University of Otago if you're interested in a Student Surveyor internship, and ideally in your second-to-last year of study

• OR currently studying GIS, Geospatial Science, or a related discipline, and ideally in your second-to-last year of study.

• An interest in developing your analytics, modeling and applying your technical knowledge for impactful infrastructure projects

• A current license to be able drive in New Zealand

• Available for 12 weeks full-time work from mid-November 2026 to February 2027 (with a two-week break over Christmas and New Year)

• Curiosity, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset
