About the Role <\/b><\/span><\/span>

Subject Matter Expert (SME) \u2013 Software Engineering <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/div>

As an SME at Rishihood University, you will be the technical backbone for our students, moving beyond basic teaching to driving real\-world engineering outcomes. You will mentor students through complex capstone projects and prepare them for elite global platforms like open\-source competitions and hackathons.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

  • Capstone Project Leadership:<\/span><\/span><\/b> Guide students through the complete lifecycle of their final year projects\u2014from architectural design and tech\-stack selection to deployment and scaling.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Competition Coaching:<\/span><\/span><\/b> Mentor and prepare students for prestigious open\-source contributions (GSoC, LFX) and national/international coding competitions.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Curriculum & Lab Delivery:<\/span><\/span><\/b> Conduct specialized sessions on System Design, Distributed Systems, and Advanced Web Development.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Hands\-on Debugging:<\/span><\/span><\/b> Provide high\-level technical support, helping students resolve complex architectural bottlenecks and performance issues.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Innovation & Research:<\/span><\/span><\/b> Encourage students to contribute to open\-source repositories and experiment with emerging technologies like AI and Cloud\-native tools.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Operations & Collaboration:<\/span><\/span><\/b> Manage batch operations and partner with faculty to ensure the curriculum remains placement\-driven.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    Technical Requirements & Qualifications<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/p>

    • Advanced Python & ML:<\/span><\/span><\/b> Mastery of <\/span><\/span>Advanced Python libraries<\/span><\/span><\/b> (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit\-Learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and core <\/span><\/span>Machine Learning<\/span><\/span><\/b> concepts.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/p><\/li>

    • Advanced Web Development:<\/span><\/span><\/b> Proficiency in modern Full Stack frameworks (e.g., MERN, Next.js) and building scalable, responsive web applications.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/p><\/li>

    • CS Foundations:<\/span><\/span><\/b> Solid mastery of <\/span><\/span>Data Structures, Algorithms (DSA)<\/span><\/span><\/b>, and <\/span><\/span>Object\-Oriented Programming (OOP)<\/span><\/span><\/b>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/p><\/li>

    • Core Engineering:<\/span><\/span><\/b> In\-depth knowledge of <\/span><\/span>Computer Fundamentals<\/span><\/span><\/b>, <\/span><\/span>Computer Architecture<\/span><\/span><\/b>, and <\/span><\/span>Operating Systems (OS)<\/span><\/span><\/b>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/p><\/li>

    • Database Management:<\/span><\/span><\/b> Expert understanding of <\/span><\/span>RDBMS<\/span><\/span><\/b> (SQL, schema design, and query optimization).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      Note:<\/span><\/span><\/b> Candidates must demonstrate high proficiency in at least <\/span><\/span>any three<\/span><\/span><\/b> of the technical skill areas listed above.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
