We’re looking for compassionate and motivated Telehealth Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselors to deliver virtual individual and group counseling sessions that support recovery and promote wellness.
About The Role
A Member’s total treatment experience consists of counselor coaching, meeting with our providers and speaking with our care coordinators. Our SUD Counselors are the experts on addiction and recovery and coaching our Members to set action steps forward for themselves. Working in collaboration with our medical providers, Members receive medication management as needed.
As an Affect telehealth SUD Counselor you will manage a schedule and caseload that supports the needs of your state (or states) while continually developing your clinical skill set and knowledge of Affect roles and responsibilities as it relates to the clinical service model. This will include:
- Unlock great clinical outcomes for our Members by adhering to Affect policies, leveraging cirriculm and providing consistent, superior care.
- Conduct intake assessments to evaluate Member readiness for the program and determine appropriate level of care
- Lead weekly group therapy sessions that build recovery skills and foster community by utilizing the outlined curriculum, and conduct weekly individual member one on one sessions.
- Provide individual support, as needed, such as crisis intervention, referrals to other resources, and liaising with outside parties involved in the member’s treatment.
- Measure the effectiveness of one's own clinical practice, using outcome measures and client feedback.
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in our electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Collaborate with clinical supervisors on individualized treatment and discharge planning
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all relevant state regulations
Requirements:
- Active and verifiable counseling license or certification in your practicing state, as well as your state of residence. All credentials must be verified through the State Board's website as part of the application process
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Suite, EMR systems, and telehealth platforms
- Passionate about supporting individuals in recovery and building therapeutic relationships
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment
- Have a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace and reliable internet
The Benefits of Joining Affect
- The salary range for this full-time position is $55,000 - $70,000 and will commensurate with experience and professional license.
