Superintendent
You will lead on-site construction from ground break through execution. You will direct daily field operations, own schedule execution and sequencing, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, oversee installation of utilities and power systems, enforce OSHA-compliant safety practices, manage reporting and documentation, and ensure successful system turnover and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Lead all on-site construction activities from ground break through execution
- Direct and oversee daily field operations for assigned projects or work areas
- Own schedule execution, sequencing, and milestone delivery across multiple trades
- Develop and maintain short-interval plans and weekly look-ahead schedules
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain workflow continuity
- Oversee installation of underground utilities, power, and telecom systems
- Partner with engineering, design, and QA/QC teams to resolve field issues in real time
- Identify field conflicts, constructability issues, or potential delays and proactively communicate solutions
- Enforce strict safety standards and ensure full OSHA compliance
- Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning sessions
- Ensure all work is performed per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Manage daily reporting including manpower, production tracking, safety observations, and site conditions
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress against schedule and key milestones
- Assist with project start-up, site logistics planning, and mobilization activities
- Ensure quality control, inspections, and successful system turnover for commissioning
- Produce bi-weekly progress reports and promote accountability across field personnel
Requirements
- Proven experience supervising large-scale commercial projects; data center experience preferred
- Background in heavy civil, underground utilities, and MEP construction
- Experience working with General Contractors and multi-tier project teams
- Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors on fast-paced job sites
- Deep understanding of CPM scheduling and production-driven execution
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and one-line diagrams
- Experience with electrical distribution systems and power infrastructure installation
- Strong safety ownership and track record of zero-incident culture
- Detail-oriented with strong field problem-solving capabilities
- Experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure (power, fiber, telecom) preferred
