Superintendent

Job Overview

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily field construction activities for mechanical systems on semiconductor and high-tech construction projects in Phoenix, AZ & Boise, ID. This role leads subcontractor coordination, work planning, field execution, and safety compliance to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily field construction activities for mechanical scopes.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to maintain project schedules and priorities.
  • Develop short-term look-ahead plans and coordinate work sequencing.
  • Monitor construction progress and resolve field issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all work complies with project specifications, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and field documentation.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, QA/QC, Safety, and other project stakeholders.
  • Track manpower, field productivity, and construction progress.
  • Participate in daily and weekly construction meetings.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical construction supervision experience.
  • Semiconductor, cleanroom, or high-tech industrial construction experience preferred.

Must Have

  • Experience managing mechanical construction activities on industrial or semiconductor projects.
  • Knowledge of process piping, utility piping, HVAC, exhaust, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and field trades.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and schedules.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification required or ability to obtain prior to start.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Semiconductor Fab construction experience.
  • Experience working at TSMC or similar semiconductor facilities.
  • Experience with cleanroom construction and process utility systems.
