Supervisor – Enhanced Family Foster Care

Position Overview

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Enhanced Family Foster Care Case Planning Unit. This role provides leadership, guidance, and supervision to a team of Case Planners and a Parent Advocate while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, family-centered services. The Supervisor works collaboratively with staff, families, and partner agencies to support permanency planning, case management, and positive outcomes for children and families involved in the foster care system.

The Agency operates in 2 locations: Staten Island and Brooklyn. The ability to travel between sites may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly supervision to a team of four Case Planners and one Parent Advocate
  • Facilitate family-centered case planning and ensure participation from family members and staff
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure services meet the needs of children and families
  • Manage staff schedules, PTO requests, and remote work coverage
  • Review permanency plans and support safe, timely family reunification efforts
  • Intervene directly in high-risk cases and critical situations
  • Provide case coverage during staff absences
  • Participate in Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement, Safety Reviews, Permanency Reviews, and related meetings
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of case notes and documentation
  • Review and monitor the quality of FASPs, Court Reports, Permanency Hearing Reports, and other required documentation
  • Prepare staff for court appearances, family team conferences, and case-related meetings
  • Ensure required conferences and meetings are scheduled and completed appropriately
  • Conduct staff evaluations and support ongoing professional development

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field required
  • Prior supervisory experience in child welfare required
  • LMSW preferred
  • Knowledge of Connections and Microsoft 365 required
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Ability to travel between Staten Island and Brooklyn locations as needed
  • Flexibility to work hours based on program needs

Pay Range

USD $34.61 - USD $34.61 /Hr.
