Supervisor (Mechanical & Civil)

General Overview

The incumbent is responsible for overseeing, coordinating and inspecting daily site activities for the Mechanical and Civil discipline construction in SLNG CAPEX projects. This requires his/her detailed understanding of the work scope via interpretation of engineering & construction drawings. Evaluating & establishing a detailed plan & schedule, the Supervisor (Mechanical & Civil) will subsequently drive construction progress with good site command and control, delivering safe & quality work. The Supervisor (Mechanical & Civil) shall also have a Safety & Learner mindset, upholding safety values and overcoming challenges/roadblocks pertaining to construction.

Responsibilities

· Lead and be focal point to awarded EPC/Contractors/Partners on Mechanical and Civil disciplines site construction for SLNG Terminals’ projects.

· Prepare, review & deliver execution plans and schedules in the field safely and with quality.

· Review and endorse Method Statements, Risk Assessments & Lifting Plans, monitor and ensure it gets translated/understood/adhered by ground crew during actual construction.

· Provide SLNG site presence in the field, anticipating, addressing & overcoming challenges/issues pertaining to HSSE, Quality and Productivity with related stakeholders.

· Continuous awareness and monitoring of site activities, tracking daily progress and measuring against baseline/look-ahead plans.

· Oversee jetty and marine works including dolphin installation/upgrading, pile reinforcement, and marine loading arm installation. Coordinate closely with marine, structural and mechanical interfaces to ensure safe execution and compliance with specifications.

· Monitor formwork installation, rebar tying, concrete pouring/curing & soil etc, ensuring engineering details and standards are met.

· Supervise ground testing, excavation, trenching, backfilling and compacting, ensuring engineering details and civil/structural standards are met.

· Oversee pipe fabrications, handling/launching, fit-up/welding and overall erection together with valves and pipe supports as per construction ISO Drawings.

· Supervise the lifting, launching, positioning and alignment of Static/Rotating equipment installation like MLA, platform, pump, compressors and etc.

· Coordinate and deliver necessary testing as per ITP and Pre-Com Service Tests, enabling smooth and flawless start-up/operations.

· Maintain as-built deliverables and ensure all site arise as-built are documented and updated as part of document update and closure.

Requirements

· Diploma & Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering.

· 8-10 years’ experience in Oil and Gas industry, including LNG industry.

· At least 5 years’ brown + green field experience as a construction supervisor or engineer (Constructing skid packages, static equipment’s, piping/valves, civil structures and jetty/wharfs equipment in internationally reputable EPC companies within oil and gas industry).

· Strong leadership/communication skills, problem-solving abilities and capability to work with stakeholders and deliver under harsh/pressure construction environment.

· Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings (P&IDs, ISOs, GA, Civil/Structural, 3D modelling etc).

· Possessing the relevant certifications to perform duties (AWSHPP/OPSIC, Confine Space Training, Working at Height, Lifting Supervisor etc).

· Knowledge in utilizing Windows & MS Office Applications (Outlook Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc).
