Corewell Health is offering a $1,750 sign on bonus to external hires.
- Effectively delegates operational responsibilities, including but not limited to temperature log completion, sanitation standards, daily huddles, training status monitoring, and staffing coverage across positions.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of payroll processes, accurately entering and managing transactions such as PTO, leaves of absence, bereavement requests, pay adjustments, and tardiness within system guidelines.
- Develops and maintains training schedules that align with the master schedule to support operational efficiency and workforce readiness.
- Applies a thorough understanding of the corrective action process, ensuring consistent and appropriate implementation in alignment with organizational standards.
- Manages recruitment activities, including creating, posting, and revising requisitions in Workday, while maintaining requisition tracking tools and ensuring timely submission.
- Maintains consistent and effective department communication through MDI boards, team huddles, and regular one-on-one check-ins.
- Upholds and enforces all departmental and organizational policies and procedures, including Dress Code, Attendance, PTO, and MESTA policies, ensuring compliance across the team.
- Completes assigned leadership and supervisory goals, providing regular and accurate progress updates on a weekly basis.
- Responds with urgency and professionalism to patient, nursing, and visitor needs, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.
- Effectively collaborates and communicates across multiple departments, including nursing, catering, production, retail, security, guest services, maintenance, IT, and dietary services to support seamless operations.
- Consistently demonstrates professionalism in all interactions while maintaining clear and appropriate boundaries between leadership and team members.
- Designs and facilitates engaging team-building initiatives that strengthen collaboration, morale, and overall team effectiveness.
- Provides leadership support by stepping into lead roles when staffing shortages arise, ensuring continuity of operations and team guidance.
- Maintains a high level of reliability and accountability by being available for on-call responsibilities, including holidays and weekends, to support operational needs.
- Exhibits a strong commitment to cross-functional excellence by training across multiple departmental positions and completing leadership development on each shift to ensure well-rounded operational expertise.
Required
- Associate's Degree or equivalent in related field
- Formal training in food preparation and presentation
- 2 years of relevant skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through 2+ years of related experience
- 2 years of relevant experience progressively responsible food service.
- Supervisory experience.
- CRT-Accredited Food Protection Manager, CFP - ANSI National Accreditation Board ANSI National Accreditation Board - Upon Hire required
- CRT-Dietary Manager, Certified (CDM) - CBDM Certifying Board for Dietary Managers RNCs (Fuller and Kalamazoo) - Upon Hire preferred
