Supervisory Auditor (Performance)

This position is located at Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Inspector General, OIG, Office of Audit and Evaluations. As a Supervisory Auditor (Performance), you will manage the program/field office's audits, program reviews, and other audit activities; serve as the audit liaison with assigned HUD agencies; and provides technical guidance to the assigned area in planning and performing major program audits.

As a Supervisory Auditor (Performance), you will: Have primary authority over the day-to-day audit operations which includes planning, executing, reporting, and liaison functions. Oversee and support personnel engaged in the development of polices and program guidance and the delivery of expert technical advice and assistance to OIG audit management, as well as program liaison to assigned HUD agencies. Operations may receive Congressional or media attention. Oversee and provide technical and administrative supervision to a staff of performance and/or financial auditors. Direct, plan, organize, coordinate, and lead the program/field office in accomplishing the work within the framework of established priorities, OIG's mission, and the goals and objectives outlined by the Inspector General (IG), Deputy IG, Assistant Inspector General for Audit (AIGA), and DAIGA. Interview and approve candidates for positions within the program/field office and may collaborate with other Audit Directors and DAIGA on the interview and hiring of new Audit Directors throughout the OAE.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
