Supervisory Education Program Specialist
The Supervisory Education Program Specialist serves as the first-line supervisor for the non-clinical Employee Development division within Education and Learning Resources Service at the VA St. Louis Health Care System (VASTLHCS). The primary purpose of this position is to lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of employee education and support programs across multiple campuses.
The Supervisory Education Program Specialist serves as the first-line supervisor for the non-clinical Employee Division within the Education and Learning Resources Services at the VA St. Louis Health Care System. The incumbent will lead the planning, coordination, and oversight of facility-wide education and support programs for employees. Some of the duties are, but not limited to: Develop annual education plans and master training calendars based on organizational needs assessments and performance improvement data Analyze internal metrics and accreditation findings to identify training gaps and drive corrective action - Lead routine staff meetings and foster a collaborative work environment built on continuous learning Ensure staff compliance with agency policies, performance management requirements, safety standards goals - Initiate performance improvement plans and corrective actions in coordination with Human Resources Conduct regular one-on-one feedback sessions and formal performance appraisals for subordinate staff Manage planning and execution of mandatory training programs and track compliance through the Talent Management System (TMS) Promotion Potential: There is no promotion potential for this position.
