Supervisory Firefighter

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position is included under the provisions of Special Retirement Coverage (SRC) and may have both a maximum entry age and a mandatory retirement date. Develops and manages firefighter and emergency response training programs and certifications.

Supervises firefighting, rescue, hazardous material, and medical emergency operations.

Oversees fire station operations, personnel, equipment readiness, and safety compliance.

Conducts fire inspections, investigations, and safety reviews to identify hazards and ensure compliance.

Prepares training schedules, reports, operating procedures, and other fire protection documentation.

Supervises training staff and coordinates occupational health, safety, and emergency response programs.
