SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command.

As a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0346-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Logistics Sustainment Division, Distribution Management Branch. Institutionalizes, researches, interprets, analyzes, and applies supply chain best practices while within DOD/DOW regulations, business process management and business rules. Provides deployment, distribution and logistics expertise for joint capabilities development policy, issues, and processes. Guides the implementation of a very complex logistical network, addressing on a global level the need for synchronized, reliable, and timely distribution processes. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with TCC's, Unified Commands, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff, Military Services, DLA, GSA, other Federal agencies, and commercial transportation organizations.
