This position is located in the Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD). CPD seeks to develop viable communities by promoting integrated approaches that provide decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expand economic opportunities for low and moderate-income persons. The primary means toward this end is the development of partnerships among all levels of government and the private sector, including for-profit and non-profit organizations. As a/an Supervisory Management Information Specialist, you will: Serve as a principal advisor to CPD's General Deputy Assistant Secretary regarding the legislative, regulatory, procedural, budgetary, security, privacy, and long-range strategic planning related to the development and implementation of automated systems for the support of community development programs and the HUD Grants Management Major Investment. Responsible for coordinating, promoting, and supporting the development, enhancement (of new and current systems technologies), and maintenance of useful, effective, reliable, and secured systems. Direct and monitor day-to-day oversight and contract management over assigned IT related contracts.

The official duty station for this position will be in Alexandria, Virginia. Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal. Key Requirements: Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. A probationary or trial period may be required. Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service; the certification will occur no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary/trial period. A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required. Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
