Provides expertise, direction, and oversight on specialized Planning policies, processes, and procedures across the Planning Division of the Logistics Policy and Programs organization.

Provides oversight and executes all policies, procedures, guidance, and control of the functional aspects of the Planning process.

Responsible for the review, analysis, and development of Planning policy, procedures, and business rules for DLA, evaluating and recommending disposition of requests for waivers to statutory requirements and deviations.

Key participant in activities related to initiation, development, and recommendation of legislation pertaining to the Planning process area.

Develops innovative strategies and procedures to overcome process problems and evaluate, maintain, and improve Planning performance.

Responds to industry and congressional concerns, making recommendations regarding specialized Planning matters requiring resolution at the senior Agency, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), or Congressional levels.

Directs the work of the branch, as well as teams of Planning specialists located at field activities to review and evaluate process strategies and ensure compliance with agency needs.
